Look at this. It's like a hook uppercut (the smash), but still...

This is the greatest uppercut of all time... no, actually it's the worst.

      Matthew Saad Muhammad

Two good uppercuts in Lewis vs Grant, the first one at 3:15, the second one which puts Grant's lights out at 8:20.

The Saad Muhammad one has been my favorite since I first saw it. Thanks for posting it. Another great one is the second knockdown in the first Foreman-Frazier fight.

Ha. I was gonna post the Muhammad one as well. A beautiful shot, that really laid out the fine contender Lotte Mwale.

As for the Tyson - Douglas fight, well the uppercut Douglas threw in the finishing combo was more devastating IMO.

Some posters stated that Tyson didn't train for this fight. To that one got to remember that Tyson was on the top of his game having flattened everyone in his path. He was awesome. Many people had Tyson on top of the all-time HW list, and Douglas was the worst challenger Tyson had faced in his reign. Las Vegas bookies wouldn't even take bets on the fight. Other bookies who did had Buster at 42:1.

I've always been a fan of tyson's uppercuts...

He was pretty vicious with them as if his sole intent was to take your head off (literally)...

I liked how he would step inside and turn his body with it.

                    good stuff.
