The only way I see this fight becoming boring is if Cotto decides to all of a sudden adapt a hit and hold style. I can't picture any other scenario where this fight would be boring.

I don't think it'll be a borefest. Oscar vs Floyd had the making for a boring fight just off of their styles. Many thought it was gonna be a slugfest, but in reality there was more a chance of seeing the fight we all saw last May as opposed to a Sugar vs Hagler type fight.

Cotto vs Margarito will indeed have fireworks. Cotto will box, but that doesn't mean he's running. He'll stick in there and fight.

Taylor-Pavlik is not comparable. Taylor is a champ taking nothing away from him but he had quite a few boring fights......Spinks, Ouma, Winky, Joppy and a few others.

I dont remember Cotto's last boring fight.

Cotto - Urkal didnt exactly strike me as a fight of the ages. TBH I wouldnt ever want to watch it again.

Cotto - Urkal didnt exactly strike me as a fight of the ages. TBH I wouldnt ever want to watch it again.

Cotto threw a lot of leather that fight, Urkal did a lot of clinching, headbutting and not so much throwing....etc. Wasn't his most exciting but I didn't think it was boring.
