I really wish this fight would never happen...it's lose, lose for Pavlik.
He beats an old man...or looks bad doing it.And since it's B-Hop...we know it's going to be a dull fight, which is the only way Hopkins can stay in it.Slap at Pavlik and then hold...

And there is a real chance Hopkins can eek out a decision...which would be horrible for the sport.

So what's the point of fighting Hopkins then? It's a pointless fight.

hahahahaha I KNEW YOU WOULD BE HAPPY!!! See all you have to do is relax!

clearly $$$$. its a big money fight, which seems to be what pavlik is after right now. action-wise the fight wont be good at all, but pavlik will make more money fighting hopkins (even at age 43) than AA right now.......

i kno you guys don't wanna hear it, but boxing, just like other sports, is a business. AA is still not well known enough to get a fight with pavlik. i dont see that fight happening even in '09.

occasionally, we get blessed with ***els like the fight we get this weekend, but most of these boxers and promoters are about maximizing profit and minimizing risk.

****, i think hopkins has a chance to win, but judging by the comments i've been reading, i'm in a very small minority. if thats the case, then that should answer your question. why fight b-hop??? bigger money than his current options, little risk.

Maybe Mundine will get a shot at Pavlik in 09???
Danny Green was a massive puncher like Pav is and he took care of him no worries...they might see Mundine as a push over...an easier target than AA
but I can tell you now Mundine would wipe the floor with AA and im sure Pav would too. This Popkins fight is happening now for whatever reason and we must accept it...still up in the air as to weather I will buy the PPV or not as Hopkins vs Calzaghe was such a let down.

You must be out of your mind. Kessler can't beat Pav or AA. Maybe that Mundine fight when he beat Soliman has you thinking he can beat anyone that you think might looks like Soliman lol. AA would wipe the floor with Mundine. Mundine couldn't even take ottke's punch.

Mate that was either a money punch or a "money" punch if ya know what I mean...**** Danny Green can hit hard bro...he sparred James Toney for 8 rounds and Toney wanted to shoot him aftewards...Mundines fought some resonable fighters...better than Froch anyway...Soliman, Kessler, Siaca, Ottke, Echols, Green...anyway lets see what happens as he has a tune up match at 160 soon and he has millions of dollars to lure bigger names and might just cause a few surprises.
As for your Kessler comment I will agree to disagree with you there...I know he would smash AA anyways...pav im not so sure but has a fair chance.
