You have to always take the win over a loss, even a loss thats really close.

Another example, Diego Corrales is remembered for losing a fight against Casamayor but showing the heart of a lion despite his mouth being cut completely open. He forever will be remembered for that famous slogan on that night "GIVE ME ONE MORE ROUND!"

Really? Let's say that Marquez beat Chris John. At the end of the day, that win wouldn't have kept him as high up on the p4p lists than the loss to Pacquiao did.

We're talking about fights in which both fighters could make a case for winning, whether the fight was boring or exciting.

So, honestly, neither of those 'clubs' would count for much within this discussion.

I'm glad you used diego as an example.

Castillo lost one of the greatest fights ever. When they asked JLC about it, he was kicking himself for a bad fight plan and for engaging so much.

I never - EVER - hear a loser in a great fight compliment himself. Or be happy about it. He always says 'I should have fought smarter'...

Only a loser is happy about losing.

                    We are?

In which fights that Hagler won can his opponents make a case for winning? Thanks in advance for your list.

Perhaps, but I hear PLENTY of times when someone wins a dull fight, and are even harder on themselves.
