It will be an interesting fight. Hopkins could win depending on how well Pavlik can figure him out, which is very obvious I know. Pavlik will most likely win reasonably easy through sheer volume punching, but, I still think Hopkins will give him some trouble in spots.

I must admit that I'm hoping Hopkins wins it though as the Pavlik hype train is in full express mode and is starting to get a bit ridiculous. I swear to god that some people think he could beat anyone at any weight today. Half this board seems to want to match him up with different fighters in different weight classes every week.

Hopkins will also want some closure on his career so he will put everything, and I mean everything, he has ever had into this fight. He will study tapes incessantly and train like a crazy madman for stamina and just to exploit every single weakness that he sees in Pavlik, which are many, obvious and bountiful. He will have beaten the man who beat Taylor twice who beat him twice. That would feel good and it would be the greatest possible win to go out with that could ever be possible I think. He will want this bad.

        It is possible, but unlikely.

I think Pavlik will win a huge UD.

Bernard just isn't as active in the ring as he used to. He relies a lot on his defense as he did against Calzaghe and now he's gonna fight a Pavlik who's workrate is right up there with Joe...with a stronger punch??

It'll be hard to KO Bernard, but at 44...don't count it out.

haha at hopkins getting knocked out!!! hes too smart to get caught up in exchanges. pavlik is moving up 10 pounds, his power at 164 against taylor was less. plus pavlik has to hit you a 100 times to knock you out. itll never happen.

Probably not 5-1 but ****, what odds could they give a 44 year old against an undefeated 26 year old? Look at what they're giving Jones vs Calzaghe...
