    how good is gamboa?

how highly do you rate gamboa? ive only seen him blast a few guys out in one round so i cant really make a good judgement.

surprised me to find out hes 28...i hope him and khan fight before hes in his 30's.....

      i think he's 26, not 28?

and he looks good, but i don't think he'll quite make it to that top, top level mainly because of his defense

He is 28 because of his extensive amateur career. He is a very talented fighter, and has the skills to be a top fighter and world champion. However, he keelps his hands around his waist most of the time and it will probably cause him problems when he steps up unless he changes it.

He is a really good fighter but if he choses to leave himself open he will get K.O'd. He doesn't put his hands up. He is like RJJ, he depends on his speed and reflexes to avoid being hit. Not that he shouldn't depend on it, but he should add PUTTNG HIS HANDS UP WITH IT.

Gamboa is 26 which is still relatively old to start a pro boxing career but it's because he had a very long amateur career in Cuba.

He has a lot of potential, it's hard to say if his defense has improved because his last fight ended inside a round but if he can correct his bad habits, he can be a force to be reckoned with.

And Khan fights at 135 although I have read a rumor that he's moving down to 130 but Gamboa has just moved down to 126.
