I'm not impressed with Linare's win over Larios, but I can see that a lot are. Larios is past his prime, but not quite over-the-hill. But, people are making too big a deal out of that win. Am I really supposed to be impressed by a bunch of wins over guys in Japan??? He's fought no one of substance besides a past his prime Larios.

Gamboa is bigger, stronger, and faster than Linares, and will dismantle him within a few rounds. Why do you think his team is moving him down to 126 in the first place? I'll tell you why: because it's easier pickings at that weight than at 130 or 135.

Check this, Linares fights tall, doesn't move his head or torso, and throws a lot of arm punches. Gamboa will be all over him like white on rice and I can see Linares getting KO'd much like Seeger did tonight.

Dude, you couldn't be further from the truth. Get with the times, man, Gamboa's people will have him in a big fight with Linares, Guerrero, Luevano, or John within the next 6 months. Believe that. Unless, of course, those guys duck him, which I can see happening. There's a REASON Gamboa's team is moving him down to 126, and that's to win a world title RIGHT AWAY!!!!

next 6 months? you really think they are gonna risk such a great prospect against a world champion in his 13th or 14th fight?.. they might knock out a weak title holder to get him a belt but NO WAY they put him in against Linares right now.

Did you even watch the post-fight interview tonight after the fight? Gamboa's team will have him in a big fight @ 126 within the next 6 months. Gamboa is a draw, and that aspect is HUGE!! He will have a big fight with one of the aforementioned guys before the year is over, believe that.

And, you're overrating Linares' skills. Beating up an over-the-hill fighter in Larios is nothing to brag about really. Gamboa dismantles Linares, for the reasons I already mentioned.

I had a feeling you wouldn't have a response to this.

considering the fact that he's 22,trust me you haven't seen the best of him yet.gamboa is one of my fav fighters but what you've seen of him is what you'll see till he's on the down slide in his mid 30's.

Gamboa is a bad boy, he's got the power, the skills, the speed, the experience and some crazy confidence.

Gamboa will be KO'd soon enough... mark my words!

Linares seems the better prospect out of the two to me

It just happen that Luevano, Guerrero, and Linares all moving up to SF, and Gamboa just moved down.

There's really no threat for Gamboa at 126. Not unless Izzy moves up in that division. **** CJ, he's fake.
