One thing you have to understand is that Pavlik doesnt apply the same type pressure as Cal. Im a huge Hop fan but picked Cal to win before the fight. Lateral movement will be Pavlik's downfall in this fight. Calzaghe is always in your face and mentally thats tough to deal with because you never know what he is going to do, you have no time to rest. Not so with Pavlik, he isnt as athletic as Calzaghe, if Hop can keep his stamina he should be able to dance his way to a decision, also Hop has been in this game a long time, so he is smarter than Pavlik and way trickier, look for Hop to set traps all night long.
Bernard Hopkins Is In A Win-Win Situation

wel i see your point but remember, boxing can be a dangerous sport, if you dont retire when you should, you can be seriously hurt. And end up with brain damage or at least with speech impediment.
I woulndt call that a win win situation.
He is already rich man, so i dont see the point of putting his health in risk anymore. But well he must really love boxing and i really respect that.
But to say its a win win situation its a little too much.Comment

Of course Pavlik is the favorite but don't act like Bernard won't show up at all. This will be Pavlik's toughest fight to date. He hasn't fought anyone this difficult to hit as of yet or this crafty. Bernard may have some tricks for the young man.Comment

Just getting in the ring with the guys Hopkins has been in the ring with since he turned 40 is historic and he will be heavily credited for it when the smoke clears. It doesn't even matter if he loses anymore and the fights he lost so far were all debatable if not flat out bull****...If Hop loses he still will make millions for the Pavlik fight and people years from now looking at it will say well he was old 43 as a matter of fact, if Hop wins he is reassessed even once again by boxing followers as being even more greater. Once youre considered old you really dont lose ground with those that know boxing, even in Holyfield's case and all boxers. Because we know there are two different phases of fighters, their were two different Ali's and he still won some great fights at an old age, it only adds to the legacy. Pavlik has everything to lose, not sure he would have took the fight at 160 risking his titles, one thing he can lose and keep his titles but he would have lost to a Hopkins that will turn 44 in January.Comment
