There was a deal for Winky vs. Paul Williams...

in place before the Mosley/Mayorga card was moved. Something tells me Williams' days at 147 are numbered.
Karl (Salt Lake): What is next for Paul Williams?

SportsNation Dan Rafael : (12:12 PM ET ) There had been a deal for Winky-Paul Williams for Sept. 27, but that is on hold now that Mosley-Mayorga is moving. Wright-Williams could happen on another date at this point. Other than that possibility, nothing doing with Mr. Milk Carton.

Wouldn't be a bad fight for Williams. At first thought I felt he'd be countered all night by Wright (which would probably happen anyway), but he wouldn't have to worry about Wright's power all that much and he could have success on the outside, throwing a ton of punches at Winky's guard.

I assume this would take place at 160...? Williams days at 147 are definitely numbered. He should be fighting at 154/160 anyway.

Williams should move up to junior mw where he could fight beatable opponents like Sergio Mora, John Duddy, etc. I don't think moving up two weight divisions at once in such a good idea...

He's smart to move up after his win instead of after a lose. He'll be stronger but so will the boxers there. Moved along right anything can happen but he will get hurt if he fights Pavlik. Abraham hits to hard for Williams but his style ain't a bad match up. Sturm is the non puncher so he'd have a better chance going after Sturm.
