In an unprecedented move, current undisputed Super Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Joe Calzaghe has left the door open to fellow Brit Carl 'the cobra' Froch.

"I do not have a mandatory challenger at the moment so I do not have to defend my title. but Froch would be approved by the WBO as he's top 5"

"It's a fight that certainly would be good to end my career on" Said Calzaghe upon his return from Sardinia.

"Froch is perhaps the toughest opponent out there other than Pavlik and if he can get it on with Taylor and win, then this is a fight that can certainly be made for 2009"

"But first i got to take care of Roy in New York and then Kelly should that fight come off"

Calzaghe should fight the winner of Froch-Taylor immediately after RJJ. Let Pavlik stay in the MW division and unify with AA.

i don't know if he's just trying to keep critics off his back for a while or if he's actually gonna fight them all in a bid to please everyone

i think Taylor will dispose of Froch with relative ease and i also think he's stylistcially the toughest possible opponent for Calzaghe... it would be unwise of Joe to fight Taylor at this stage in his career imo
