Why the hell is Jose Sulaiman trying to get involved with this and put the WBC brand on it? Marciano died a couple years before the WBC even formed. He just needs to keep to himself. -
Its because he is White. Marciano is damn overated. The racism by some people against white boxers is sickening.
Rocky Marciano was a great fighter: 49-0, heavyweight champion of the world. He fought the best at that time. But if he had been 100-0, and fought on and KOed Liston and Patterson, these racists would still say he was no good.
People discredit him because he was white. Some people believe that white people are athletically inferior, so if a white fighter was/is successful, it must be for some reason other than he was good.Comment

Im not sure its all about race Tunney, there are loads of posts on here which dont compare Marciano favourably to modern era champs because of his size, style and the opposition he fought. Dont get me wrong, there will be a racist element who prove exactly what you are saying to be correct, but lets not tar everyone with the same brush my friend. The racism by some people against white boxers is sickening.

Everything is about race as far as Tunney is concerned. He is disgustingly obsessed. He labelled me racist for questioning the level of competition in the cruiserweight division. He red k'd me and everything.Im not sure its all about race Tunney, there are loads of posts on here which dont compare Marciano favourably to modern era champs because of his size, style and the opposition he fought. What's really disgusting is when you reveal your belief that white boxers are athletically inferior ("opposition couldn't have been good" if the white boxer won, etc.).
And the double standard is disgusting too! We all quickly condemn any anti-black racism, but we turn a blind eye or try to justify and support anything that's anti-white.
I believe we should all be treated fairly and equally, and judged by the same standards.Comment
