    If Bernard beats Pavlik

    2 questions:

    1. What does that say about Jermain Taylor

    2. What does that say about Joe Calzaghe?

In the event that B-Hop beat Kelly Pavlik it obviously adds some stock to both of those guys as the argument that "Bernard was simply past his prime" would not be as valid. It especially helps out Joe I think, obviously because he has never been beaten and also because Taylor lost to Kelly twice. I don't know, it is a strange one. Either way Jermain Taylor has a lot of work to do at the moment anyways. I think it is all pretty pointless though as I don't think Bernard can beat Pavlik at the moment. Pavlik will just throw way too many hard shots and Bernard has finally gotten old.

How can Hopkins beat Pavlik? Seriously? The dude doesnt fight he just spoils and throws a couple of punches each round while running backwards. I just don't see it, he retired a long while ago, just didn't tell anyone.

Bernard Hopkins will make Pavlik look like an ametuer....mark my words..this fight is a mismatch.

            Okay, tell me how...?
I genuinely want to know what Hopkins will do to 'make Pavlik look like and amateur'?

It's definitely going to be a tough one, but we don't know how Kelly will react to Bernard's roughness. He doesn't have the speed that Joe or even Taylor (though I don't think Taylor beat Bernard) does to help him work in the clinch or avoid it. Bernard can still be pretty sneaky so unless his reflexes diminish even more then he can avoid Pavlik's jab.

Pavlik gets hit pretty flush by right hands and if he's moving up to say even 170, Bernard could catch him pretty flush. One thing Bernard needs to do is throw more then just a right hand. If he wants to play the inactivity game fine, but atleast throw more then 1 damn right hand when you decide to throw. He should follow up with a left hook or work the body or something.

Right hands to the body could maybe work well too. He probably doesn't have the speed to throw that often, but I think he can pull this one out.
