Its terrible when boxers get hurt like this...but seriously enough with the "prayers". I know that sounds harsh, but the only thing thats going to protect boxers now and in the future is swift and excellent medical care. That and thorough and mandatory pre-fight medical examinations. Hopefully they got Diaz into surgery quickly enough.

And perhaps we should think twice about paying to see people like Edwin Valero fight...people who, unlike diaz, are and were known to be at risk to brain injury.
