Nice - I like that post good job!Originally posted by TysonForemanI don't know, the last round of Rocky Balboa vs. Apollo Creed was pretty exciting, what with the double knockdown, I don't think anything could be more amazing than that kind of an end to a furious slugfest. If that happened in real life I'd have a stroke.
But I agree, R9 Gatti-Ward I was probably as good as any real boxing match could ever be, anymore and both guys would have been killed. And one thing that made it even better was the commentary. Manny Stewart just saying "Oh my god..." and that this was more than you could dream of. Then Jim Lampley says "Ward nods as if to say: come on! Come On! COME ON LET'S FIGHT!!", which is the greatest line from a commentator that I have ever heard. I don't think it could get better. (I hate it when the commentators don't even seem excited)

for the fights that I have seen live while it was happening, or in my case on a slightly delayed telecast, its Round 1 of Tommy "Hit Man" Hearns against Marvelous Marvin Hagler, lucky I did not bet on that fight or I would have a heart attack....Comment

I just don't see what is so great about that round. Hoya punched himself out after the first minute and did nothing else.Originally posted by Yokoi like round 12 of de la hoya-quartey, its very exciting, they both punch themselves out completley.Comment

There are some good rounds there, Gatti Ward R9 classic, Don't forget Benn V G-man R1 or R2 unbelivable! talk about bombs.Comment

Anyone ever notice the similarities between Gatti-Ward I R9 and Hagler-Hearns R1? Both started out with one fighter getting hti hard and looking like they might be out...Hagler didn't go down like Gatti did, but was still shaken by one of Hearns' throws.
Both rounds ended with the men just standing there trading punches, with defence totally out the window. Man, great rounds.Comment

its dramatic cause he knew he was behind on the cards, he cornered quartey and went after him but quartey was still fighting back. the crowd and jim lampley screaming also add to the affect.Originally posted by LuKahnLiI just don't see what is so great about that round.
