how do you see the margarito-cotto fight going???

I see it as margarito attempting to brawl cotto; always coming forward while cotto sticks him with the jab and stays on his toes while using good defense...

I see cotto working the body when margarito gets inside then getting tied up with him and once again...sticking and moving from the outside.

I think the best gameplan for cotto is to use the one big advantage over margarito that he has...he's a superior boxer to him...so why not use it? why fight margarito's fight and make it easy for him?

margarito will brawl cotto for one of a few reasons:

A) he has an iron chin
B) he can muscle his way to victory.
C) its really his only option against someone like cotto who can box far better than he can.

true story...C is the most likely reason...

if margarito goes in there and stays at range and BOXES cotto he will lose a UD no joke...

if he brawls him and uses those 1200+ punches a round he can force a split decision in my opinion...

cotto isnt ****** and in his fights in the past against guys like judah, mosley (up until he thought he had the fight won), torres, quintana, etc. he has stood toe to toe...look what happened in the torres fight...he absolutely stood toe to toe and could have lost that fight due to a fragile chin...

he does like to fight though...just as much as margarito...but he's smart and knows he cant take that many shots every fight...doesnt mean he's a coward.

I couldn't agree with you more! I think if the fight goes the distance it will more than certainly favor Cotto. Margarito needs to hurt Cotto and not let him off, finish him off right then and there. Marg has got the power to do it if he hurts him.

margarito is not hype. this man is the real deal and thats why so many fighters in the welterweight division have ducked this man. i just hope margarito gets the respect he deserves when he destroys cotto.

i think the first few rounds cotto will be boxing and working off his jab. margarito will be fighting cautiously but still throwing a good number of punches to take the early rounds. later cotto will see his boxing is not working that great and will try to be more aggressive and both men will go back and forth where cotto will get caught with a big shot that may possibly end it. if he survives into the late rounds margarito will see cotto is a wounded dog who is worn and will unleash the full fury of the tijuana tornado to take the championship rounds.

This fight will be a replay of Clottey/margarito. The difference will be that Cotto will do this for 10 rounds and the punishment will be to much for Tony. Cotto TKO Margarito in the 10 or 11.
