    How would you describe...

The style of Juan Manuel Lopez?

I have only seen him against Ponce de Leon.

He looked like a counterpuncher who relies on his right hook that he sets up with his straight left. It looks like the jab is nearly nonexistant in his arsenal.

Spot on, or is that one fight misleading?

yeah u kind of right except he has a great jab. lopez adapts and studies fighters styles.

in his last fight with oquendo he was counter puching oquendo to death.

it just depends on his opponents style.tha't why he's a special fighter

As mentioned above, he adapts his style based on his opponent's style but I think he prefers to counterpunch more than anything.

And he does have a good jab.

I seriously cannot wait for this kid to fight again.

I have never seen anyone set up their hook with their straight/cross. That was so insane.

Any idea who he is fighting? I saw he is supposed to fight twice more this year.

I was hoping he would move his way up the food chain, against Molitor/Caballero and then the other one, then R. Marquez, then Vazquez.

Trinidad sometimes used to set up his left hook with his right cross.

yeah man he's an amazing fighter.i have followed him since he was 8-0.

its amazing indeed because his speed is always right on point.

most of the fights that i have seen...his KO'S are barely seen until they show the replay is ridiculous.

I got my first glance of him when I rewatched the Miranda-Green fight in Puerto Rico (on the Cotto-Urkal undercard)...

They showed highlights of him against Levi Brea (I think they called him Juan Brea though, oddly enough), and they alluded to how badass his right hook was, and showed him knocking Brea down multiple times with lightning fast hooks.

How many times has he been on American TV? Any idea?

Was the Ponce fight his first American exposure? If so, that is a shame.

I cant wait to see him fight again, He made the Ponce fight look sooo easy without too much effort, I couldnt believe how easy he made it look. I was just so impress with how he took ponce apart then steadily took his time in choosing which punch to throw to knock ponce out.

Its like watching a pavlik ending fights.
