Mayweather would easily make 140. But why should he fight Hatton at 140 when he is the P4P best and the Champion. Hatton - Mayweather was Hattons second fight at WW no excuses there. Mayweather had a longer reach so what, how many fighters have to fight against other fighters who have longer reach, Tyson didn't *****. Are you saying Hatton is incapable of fighting against someone who has a longer reach?? Oscar has a longer reach and size was greater than Mayweather had over Hatton

That is so short sighted its not funny , if it were only that easy to pick a winner .

It's time the greatness of Kostya Tszyu is appreciated. He is one of the most underrated fighters on this board. That's unfortunate. I will do my best to change that.

First of , who is Kostya Tszyu you ask? He's one of the greatest junior welterweights of all time. He's up there with all the other greats who have fought at 140 and would be competitive with any of them head to head.

Second , who has he beat? Well here's a list of some of the opponents he beat , their record when they first fought Kostya and some of the titles they've held.

        Zab Judah (27-0-0) WBO/IBF140 , WBC/WBA/IBF147 Champion
        Sharmba Mitchell (47-2-0) WBA/IBF140 Champion
        Julio Cesar Chavez (103-4-2) WBC130 , WBC/WBA135 , WBC/IBF140
        Champion
        Roger Mayweather (54-11-0) WBA130 , WBC/IBO140 , IBA/IBO147 Champion
        Rafael Ruelas (52-3-0) IBF135 Champion
        Jesse James Leija (43-5-2) WBC130 , IBA135 Champion
        Oktay Urkal (28-0-0)
        Ben Tackie (24-2-0)
Miguel Angel Gonzalez (43-1-1) WBC135 Champion
        Diobelys Hurtado (28-1-0) WBA/IBA140 Champion

        Ismael Armando Chaves (40-5-3)
Jan Piet Bergman (32-0-0) WBU147 Champion
        Corey Johnson (20-1-1) IBC140 Champion
        Hugo Pineda (27-0-1)

        Pedro Sanchez (26-1-2)
        Angel Hernandez (40-1-2)
        Hector Lopez (26-2-1)
        Livingstone Bramble (34-11-3) WBA135 Champion
        Juan LaPorte (37-12-0) WBC126 Champion
There was NOTHING great about Zoo.

He was smashed by Vince Phillips in his PRIME and never once tried to avenge the loss.Great fighters don't accept ass-whippings like that.

He also fought lightweights and even FEATHERWEIGHTS.

Hatton is the one that turned down the fight at 140.

Worse version of Tszyu that Hatton fought and a worse version of Judah (coming off a loss) that Mayweather fought.

              What's YOUR point?

So, because Judah was coming off a decision loss... did that make him a diminished fighter against Mayweather? How? or did nearly every expert say that Judah looked as prepared as he ever did vs Mayweather?

Tszyu knocked out a green Judah. How old was Zab? How many big fights had he been in?

Again: what is YOUR point? Why are you, as a supposed knowledgeable boxing fan, supporting ridiculous triangular or 'common opponent' theories?

                    zab was 27-0 and undefeated.

he was the ibf 140 champion and had defended his belt like 6 times.

zab was also rated by some higher than kostya at 140.

don't diminish kostya's accomplishments. it was a great win for tszyu. it was the 2 best fighters in their division trying to unify all the belts.

kostya's win was more impressive than floyd's win over zab.

at the time zab was considered all that and a bag of chips. few even gave kostya a chance against zab. fact.

floyd's win over zab was still a good win though. zab had a belt and top 3-4 at 147 at the time and a former undisputed champion.

just don't try to make kostya's win out to be nothing. kostya was the underdog to some going into that fight.

He was DESTROYED in his prime by Vince Phillips(a crack addict..at the time was living in his car)and punked-out of a rematch.

Hurtado had him down twice..despite having only 3 weeks to prepare.

                      Zoo was nothing great.
