That's my point exactly I'm quite disappointed in Rahman... no heart. If Toney got a cut like that you know he would have finished the fight, hell Toney's been taking fights when he's not even 100% anyway!

It's a tough one.

While it did seem like Rahman wanted to get out of there, I have some sympathy with him for the ultimate decision. It seemed like the doctor called it off, not him. He was just whining to the Doc. I think if they had told him that it was going to be TKO in that case, he would have shut up and carried on.

But then, I do feel Rahman should have kept going. So maybe justice was served overall. I would have been gutted for James if after all his hard work, it was to end like that. He looked in decent(ish) shape, and it's always a joy to see him strutting his stuff

Maybe. But the fact remains the Doctor stopped the fight and Rahman did not. This was a BS decision and one that should be reversed.

You guys calling this a bad decision need to watch very closely at the corner, EVERYONE in the corner was saying Rahman was fine except Rahman, the doctor only relayed that Rahman was quitting to the ref, which is why it was eventually called a TKO, because the Doctor was looking at the cut, you can clearly here him saying "hes good, hes good" , Rocks corner continued giving him instructions for the next round, and Rock just kept saying "I can't see I can't see" until the doc confirmed it and waved off to the ref.

Did you watch the tape. Rahman said he couldn't see. He never said I will not continue and was never asked. The Doctor waived the fight. The ref stated it was a no contest before it was changed. The Doctor said he made not call other then the fight needed to be stopped for safety reasons. The commission is saying it was the Doctor and then changed to say it was the ref. This was BS.

Get your racist A$$ back in your hole until you are ready to discuss the fight not your own insecurities and desires.

Oh by the way....Before you judge people you should look and see what the He11 they are saying. James Toney was one of my favirote fighters before the roids and speech slurring. I don't want to see the guy become a vegtable at 45 and dead at 50. He is a danger to himself.
