The Cut Was Barely Bleeding.. And Toney Was Drilling Him With Right Hands
Rahman Found A Way Out

I agree Rahman clearly complained to the referee, "I can't see." In a pleading, I can't fight tone. He defended this logic post fight by saying, "I'm not going to fight a fighter of Toney's caliber with one eye. I was taking right shots all of a sudden. I couldn't see, I wasn't eating those shots and then I got cut, and then suddenly I was getting caught with those punches- I couldn't see." In other words, defending the fact that he wanted out.
A fighter who wants to continue fighting doesn't complain to or admit to the referee that he is incapable of going on. Rahman clearly complained to the doctor he couldn't see - I think the drama is that the referee saw the corner and the doctor saying, "He can't go on.." in unison, and saw it as Rahman's corner itself stopping it. So, the intent behind Rahman's actions were read by the attitude of his corner....and ruled a TKO for Toney.
