plain and basic common sense. even if mayweather was still around he wouldnt be fighting the best at 147. hed be ducking and dodging like he always has.

its true- there are still great fights at welterweight without floyd.

which is exactly why floyd will be back. he'll get real tired of watching and not competing. i still want to see floyd vs. cotto/mosley/margarito

any one of those fights would have my attention

The only time Margarito got the spotlight was when he lost to Williams. What a bum

lol your right... It really doesn't feel like "THE BEST" are fighting each other...Shane Mosley vs. a bum, De la hoya wants to fight Trinidad, Cotto is fighting a glorified journeyman.. Maybe Andre Berto will take over

As Ive always felt having many competitive contenders is better than having one big name not putting on competitive fights.

Can we let this guy retire in peace! Stop talking about him! He is gone! A lot of you clowns sound real pathetic with your potshots at the guy who put a nice spotlight on the sport! He did do the best non hw numbers in less than a year in 2 consecutive fights! your fav fighter cant sellout the most anticipated bout in recent memory. deep down inside you clowns miss him and pray that he comes back and fights your guy! he's gone forever deal with it!

Floyd is not gone, he is merely taking a break. He will be back once the boredom kicks in. He will be a force once again.
