    2007 v 2008

With the rest of this year's big prizefights starting to be announced, which year do you think will come to be regarded as the best for boxing in years to come?

2007s highlights included the two superfights with massive PPV buys involving Floyd Mayweather against De La Hoya and Hatton and the emergence of arguably an all time great in PBF. The renaissance of boxing in Britain with David Haye's emergence and 50,000 attending Calzaghe-Kessler and 10,000+ travelling to Vegas in support of Hatton. The meteoric rise of Kelly Pavlik and the epic first fight with Taylor aswell as the continued rise of Miguel Cotto.

2008 has allready seen amongst others, the Marquez brothers involved in two amazing fights Rafael with Vazquez and Juan Manuel with Pacquiao. Casamayor and Katsidis' blockbuster. The second invasion of vegas by british fans with 2 ring titleists facing in Calzaghe and Hopkins. Still to come is Cotto-Margarito and who knows what to expect from Calzaghe-RJJ, the likes of Haye and Klitschko at heavy, Paul Williams stepping up to face Pavlik, and De La Hoya fighting again in December.
