That would hype up the unification fight, assuming they both win anyway, to massive levels. It is just the best set up for the fans period. Abraham/Marquez will not be competitive, so it is perfect for an undercard in terms of quality. Anyone think Abraham would go along with it? It could be sort of a tough sell. I mean, he could go back to Germany, call it the main event, and thirty thousand people would show up. It is a shame. It is that sort of thinking that slowly, long term, has kept knocking boxing down a couple pegs. If there was any organization within the sport it would be easy to book something like that with eyes on the future, but in all likelihood it just won't happen.
HBO really need to get Abraham/Marquez and Pavlik/Williams on the same card

Good post, good idea. Don't know if Abraham's people would be up for it though. The fight with Marquez in the U.S. gets them very little, but of course in Germany it would rake in dough.
It's a matter of whether HBO wants to appease them by making it worth their while $$$. Even then, Abraham's people would have to weight whether the added U.S. exposure is worth losing out on the Euro money.Comment
