A win over Pavlik in his last fight would definitely be a great way to go out.

That means nothing. WBO doesn't require mandatories.

Pavlik did beat JT afterall. Pavlik is also p4p rated. It would quite be possibly JCs best win. Lacy and then kessler. You wouldnt think he could top that. But then he beats BH and hopefully RJJ.
Lets wait until after the RJJ fight and then we will know what JCs plans are. He may decide to retire. WHo knows? Or take a short break and recharge the batteries and come back for one last fight.

I think Joe is just keeping his options open. If he decides to stay at 175 or retire, what are they going to do to him?

I hope this is true and Calzaghe decides to have one last fight after Roy Jones.

A match with Kelly Pavlik would be a dream.

His gonna go the Kelly pavlic route me thinks..

And what that would do for Joe by beating Jones Jnr (Shot or not)
and coming back down to beat Pavlic would be Big Tings

if he can do it or not remains to be seen

I agree with both of you, he's probably just keeping his choices open for a fight with Pavlik at 168, hopefully it happens.

He'll be favorite in the Jones and when he gets through that he'll be favorite against Pavlik. The odds aint exactly against him to do it.
