Is it only me... or does Haye sound a lot like Miranda...

I love that talk... I hope he can keep it up... he will get some easy HW's, at least I hope that for him. He has slickstar-mentality but has not real slickness... that will hurt him big time. Styles-wise it's a good match-up but right now he has no chance against Klitschko. What ppl don't realise... Klitschkos shots are much faster then Haye thinks. Do you think a guy like Thompson didn't want to hit him or Ibragimov. His jab is a laser and after he gets hit once with a right hand it's over. The problem with him is, that his brashness doesn't do him any good. Cuz I heard he is now in a pool of opponnents for Klitschkos next fight. And believe me Haye wants him later then sooner. A guy like Roy Jones could move away from HWs and do it. But even him would have had a lot of probs against a guy like Lewis. Timing kills speed. At this moment with no x-perience in the HW division... co chance... 3rd or 4th round k.o.

It takes maximum six months - he should have been ready for a heavyweight fight by August or September at the latest.
You obviously know very little about conditioning. Of course it takes that long to do it PROPERLY, that's the keyword. He can bulk up quicker but end up looking like James Toney. I'm sure we'll see a huge ripped monster come november, then you will understand.

You're right on the mark with your comment. When boxers "trim down" to make weight, they get rid of their "get riddable" fat, and then complete the job just before weigh-in by drying out. So if he was making, say, 198 for his cruiserweight fights, he'd normally walkaround at about 215-225, of which 15-26 lbs would be superfluous fat and liquid.

But, in six months PROPER training, (and eating) he should be able to slowly assimilate and substitute 15-20 lbs of muscle in there somewhere.

Slight difference being Pac was the best fighter in the world and he was only going up 5 lbs to fight the weaker belt holder.
