Larry Merchant is a genius..

I always wondered if he freestyled his commentating or did he write his material before fights and found situations to say them???

He's said some of the most memorable things since Yogi Berra...

Merchant is sounding old and slow by times, but he's still much better than Kellerman.

I was very happy when I saw Merchant, not Kellerman, was working the Wlad fight. I was able to better enjoy the Pacquiao fight too, with just Lampley and Steward, who work well together.

Kellerman has the wrong voice for the job, and lacks tact. He's unable to hide his feelings about fighters, although he tries. He sometimes sounds like a teenage girl with a crush on certain boxers, and at other times he discredits the fighters he doesn't like.

I don't mind either one of them but Larry Merchant is my boy and it's gonna be extremly hard to find a replacement that is just as good or better then him..

Kellerman is decent, but he gets on my nerves sometimes.

I definitely prefer Merchant over Kellerman

Lampley is the head announcer/commentator

Merchant and Kellerman have a different role and they rotate with eachother, they're the assistant commentators that give the interviews after the fight.

I like Max because I had the opportunity to have a meal with him, and he was a smart, nice, down-to-earth guy.
