    PrimeVsPrime: Hopkins & Toney

It's a dream fight between 2 old school counter punching masters.
In this poll the fight takes place at Middleweight, & when thinking about how they would perform, think about there styles and them at there very very best.
It's a fight that could have actually happened... but never did.

    have you say!
    16
    Toney wins!
    68.75%
    11
    Hopkins wins!
    31.25%

Bernard “The executioner” Hopkins. That fight against Tito still amazes me today, what a performance and Oscar fight was decent. Hopkins UD

Hopkins got good lateral movements, he will circle all night which is a key point to a win over Toney whose footwork is slower than Hopkins, that combined with Hopkins dirty tactics he wins a SD

At 160, assuming Toney isn't weight drained I think they have the style to offset each other so it would be a close fight that could go either way.

I have almost no idea how this match-up would go so I'll just post some videos of the two men in their prime:

                  Toney highlights vs Barkley

                  Toney vs McCallum

                  Hopkins vs Echols

                  Hopkins vs Johnson

                  Hopkins vs Trinidad

I do know that Hopkins is not exactly the ideal match-up for Toney, but then again Toney went punch for punch with the great Mike McCallum.
