Have you not seen his last 5 fights? Almost all of them were entertaining slugfests, his flaws are actually what make the fights really interesting.

If it were John Turnbuckle vs Alex Gonzalez (two made up names) on ESPN2's WNF swing bout you would all be like "wow that's a great fight, those dudes rock" but if it's Chavez Jr. all you say is "HE SUCKS" without actually thinking of how great the fight was.

this is how I feel, jr can choose to fight a defensive game since he usually had length on his opponents, but instead he chooses to fight that aincient mexican style his dad did in the 80 and he pays for it at the end of bouts, he is entertaining and maybe he should stop saying hes going to ko people and consentrate on a better strategy but he chooses to give people what they want, this is just how the mexican public is, just wait and see what happens to Hugo Sanchez when the mexican soccer team gets eliminated from the world cup by the USA again, they will turn on your ass quickLOL

I saw the post fight interview, and I got the feeling that this young man is under so much preasure to do what is expected of him which is :KO everyone, win 100 fights with no losses and with an 80% ko ratio, become world champion before his 25th birthday, marry the hottest Telenovela actress, put out a top selling spanish album outselling and outsinging Luis miguel, then brake into the US market with a guest appearance in the next Rocky movie where he plays the fighter by the name of jonny turnbuckle, AND HE HAS TO LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH (with no accent)!
