the ability to get up off the floor and win vs a solid chin

    both are important ingridients

however some are born with a strong chin, and some are not so lucky

    but

those that are not so fortunate, work with what they have. they breed their killer insinct. they learn from early on, that they might go down, but they have to get up and put that damn pressure on otherswise they are cooked ducks

having a solid chin can be overated at times. guys can be hit but are not as bothered, and just cruise through the fight.

guys with weaker chin seem to wake up after a good shot, and work miracles. after they go down, they face reality and know the consequence of not getting up.

but there are few that get up though...

HOWEVER you win is a good thing. You deal with your natural talents and weakness and you explot your opponent to win.

That's what's respected in the end.

true, in the end what matters is that you get your hand raised. i was just making comparissons.

thats the thing that most people go back back to on the upcoming fight. saying cotto's got a weak chin compared to tony. margarito may have a good chin, but cotto showed his ability to win after being hurt, so it's even in that department

this is just a comparisson, there are other examples as well..

The one thing I have to say, I have seen Cotto rocked bad, I haven't seen Margarito rocked bad.

It remains to be seen though if Cotto has a little Diego Corrales (sans mouthpiece) in him.

yep that too, while people point to tony being oblivious to pain, we havent exactly seen him in the torres type situation.

i like miguel, he finds ways to win. his chin might not be his main asset, but he's like terminator. you can drop him but that machine will still get up to try and destroy you.

im looking forward to the tony fight.
