Im going to step in here. You have said this about 20 times in other threads. Carlos Arroyo beating the united states had NOTHING to do with us not getting the gold medal, those were early matches that we could afford to lose on one of the worst selected teams in our storied history at the olympic games in basketball. It was argentina that put us away after we beat spain in the knockout round, and in the semi final we lost to argentina.

The loss to puerto rico only highlighted that this team was completely out of order, marbury at point gaurd, larry brown as coach, and not a single pure shooter/pure point gaurd to be found on the entire team, and larry browns friction with carmelo anthony didint help at all.

We still medal'd puerto rico didint. Now let me ask you, what has carlos arroyo done in the last 4 years other then get kicked off the utah jazz, play 4 minutes with the pistons and come off the bench for orlando? Please stop saying the loss to puerto rico did anything but give us a loss. It was Argentina that stopped us in the semi final.
