SAN DIEGO, Calif. (July 10, 2008) – Popular Mexican fighter and former WBC lightweight world champion Jose Luis “El Terrible” Castillo (56-8-1, 48 KOs) will get back in the ring against Argentine Sebastian “Iron” Lujan (29-5-2, 20 KOs) in a 10-round welterweight battle on Wednesday, July 30, live on ESPN2 at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.
The co-feature showcases undefeated welterweight prospect Luis Carlos “El Potro” Abregu (22-0, 19 KOs) against an opponent to be named later.
Abregu, out of Salta, Argentina, is the latest edition to the Sycuan Ringside Promotions (SRP) family. He is trained and managed by former WBC welterweight world champion Carlos Baldomir.
The evening of boxing is promoted by Sycuan Ringside Promotions and will take place at the Sycuan Indian Reservation in El Cajon, Calif. (suburb of San Diego).
