Will he ever fight anybody who doesn't have anything to do with erik morales? this isn't a pacquaio bash but morales and barerra were very average at higher weights, I said it years ago, as soon as morales can't stop starving himself and hurting his body to make weight, you'll see the true erik morales, same thing with most mexican fighters besides oscar de la hoya, when they can no longer starves themselves to fight in a weight class 3 divisions smaller, they suck ass, thats why i respect de la hoya.

Barrera is 5'6 and never looked lean and cut at super feather, so your theory falls there.

He fought Diaz because he is the easiest fight for a belt at lightweight and because Erik Morales is known in the phillipines.
This makes David Diaz known and more important to the phillipines, than the other lightweights.
It's his right he doesn't need to fight the hardest fight while moving up.

I don't think Pacquiao only fights boxers associated with erik morales. Is Juan Manuel Marquez associated with Erik? They never fought.

Secondly, time and time again, Pacquiao would always say, he leaves the decision to choose his opponents, to his promoter. He can fight anybody as long as he won't be paid far less than what he is suppose to receive. Meaning he should be justly paid according to how he brings excitement to the fans, and boxing fans know how much he gives himself completely in the ring everytime he fights...In short, he will fight anybody even those not associated with erik morales.

Every pound is critical in the lower divisions which are only separated by a few pounds and many fighters have been known to struggle in order to make weight because everyone's metabolism is different.
