PR vs. Mexico (Just limit the discussion to boxing)

..with the Margarito vs. Cotto fight coming up things have gotten out of hand.

I'm tired of both sides just taking things personal and attacking the other country's problems. The threads are useless, every country in this world has crime, diseases, poverty, etc. so whatever you attack the other country with applies to yours also.

If you're going to argue about Cotto having no chin or Margarito is overrated fine, that's boxing but there is no need to be attacking the other person;s country.

I think the same thing can be said about the Filipinos vs. Mexican threads, I think there are enough knowledgable fans in here to argue against/favor of a boxer without the need of attacking the other poster's heritage or country.

Co-sign.This **** is tiring and sickening. I dont even bother at looking at there thread or responding to them cause all people do on here is bash each others countries/race. This is a boxing forum people should just be talking about boxing nothing else matters.

PR is up something like 42-20 in title fights. PR produces more champs per capita. Better technical fighters by far. Rosario and Camacho never reched their true potential due to not living right.

        PR all the way. Obviously.

Too bad PR never produced the top fighters at any given division all time.

Ricardo Lopez- Best fighter at his weight all time
Ruben Olivares- top 3 all time at his weight
Sal Sanchez-top 3 all time at his weight
Chavez- top 15 P4P all time
Morales, Barrera, Marquez-Top 10 all time at FW or at least top 15.
Duran who was half-mexican- Top 5 all time P4P.

            PR
Trinidad and Benitez-Top 20 all time at WW.
Gomez-Top 10 all time at his best weight and thats it.

I love the "Mexico vs PR" threads! NOthing is funnier then people who root for their own fighters so much that they feel like they have to **** on another country because of it. What these people fail to understand is that no matter who wins, there is no "we" involved. You didnt help your guy win, and if he loses, there is no shame in that. You had nothing to do with it. The person just happened to be born in the same country as you (well and the people who are like 1/10th Mexican living in LA or Texas who claim Mexico.) Its no different then people cheering for the Celtics and saying "We ****ing did it!!!!" No, no you didnt. Shut the **** up and enjoy the fight.

Gomez is the best 122 of all time.. Olivares hides in Gomez' shadow.

Sal Sanchez could have been great, but he wasnt alive long enough... He didnt accomplish nearly as much as Benitez, Trinidad, Gomez or even Camacho.

Benitez yougest fighter to ever obtain a title and

Gomez most straight KO title defenses

oh.... and PR has produced more champions per capita than any other country.
