    Wlad Still Cheats

I talked about this before the fight last night and he still did it. I didnt see much of the fight, only a few rounds. However, even in that little bit of time he was still cheating. I heard the announcers talk a ton about it in his last fight but in the little I saw this fight, they didnt say anything.

Im talking about how Wlad holds his left arm straight out face guarding. That **** is illegal. Its hard to beat a big man if your going to allow him to do that and the HW's suck anyway so they cant overcome it. I think it ruins fights because you get alot of slapping. Does anyone else see this? Its funny because it looked like he knew that people were talking about it last fight so this time he tried to play it off more. Sometimes its hard to tell if your not a hard core fan because his arms are so long anyway but he does it non stop.

Its hard for his opponent to throw the punch they want and then when they do, he can easily direct it with that arm. Even worst, there are a ton of times where he actually pulls the opponents gloves or guard down. I cant believe the ref allows that and I cant believe that the fighters dont complain. It clearly bothers them and it cleary makes it easy for Wlad. Every single time I watch a smaller guy fight like the WW's and they try it even one time then the ref warns them for it. Wlad does it the whole fight and they never say anything. It even makes the opponents basically have to lean back alot of the fight. Does anyone else see this?

It's called straight arming btw, Larry Holmes always did it. He never got picked up, it's kinda like excessive clinching frowned upon but action is never really taken.

Still?! Even thought you 'talked about it'?

Were you hoping that he wouldnt through fear of it making you more angry?

No, I said before the fight that I hope they have a better ref who doesnt let the guy get away with it. The previous fight I remember how Lennox was saying that the ref should be warning Wlad and putting a stop to it but I guess Cortez is still an idiot also

Cortez is an idiot for letting Thompson get away with all the low blows and rabbit punches he threw in the fight. If you watch a little closer, Wlad was not "straight arming", he was blocking and parrying the jab, completely nullifying it. Now you watch someone like Valero, he's doing something different, holding his arm straight out sometimes touching the guy's face, keeping him at arm's length.

Yes, someone should stop Wlad from doing that.

Still, he won convincingly (albeit in a very boring fight). Cong**** to his fans!
