You should apply for a job at philboxing if you believe that Donaire had the first five rounds. Donaire was competitive as I said before and won a COUPLE of the first four but Solis started taking over beginning in round 5. Donaire was moving forward during the fight but the only problem was that he wasnt landing punches! His best shots of the night were with his head.

HAHAHAH!!! Moving forward???? Donaire was ****ing literally chasing Solis as if he stole something... What happened to toe to toe, Mexican bad-ass bull****??? Donaire came to fight, Solis came to run...You should apply for a job at philboxing if you believe that Donaire had the first five rounds. His head??? That ***** Solis was complaing straight up because he was hurt and trying to buy time from the ref... The ref didnt see any intentional headbutts nor did anyone except those idiot Aztec America announcers...
With that said, it wouldnt have mattered if this fight was close or not because from the official scorecards the damn judges were those bitches Xcaret, Mayan Sun, and that other **** Ferocity....
120-108....Get the **** outta here with that bull****... You people have no scrupples...Comment

Well Donaire would have actually had to throw and land a few punches in the second half of the fight in order for it to be toe to toe. Solis wasnt even being evasive, he was landing punches off the ropes and in the corners. If some idiot is going to come at you without punching effectively, what are you going to do? Let the dumb****er keep coming as you knock him around. I didnt agree with the scorecards but Solis won regardless of the lopsided scores. NOw if we want to talk about a real BS job relating to that fight then we should be talking about the 3 or 4 articles by philboxing which claim that Donaire was flat out robbed.Comment

Come on, who the **** cares what Philboxing writes? Why is this even an issue?? The staff writers dont have a say on the outcome of the fight...They're merely relaying their OPINIONS on the fight and its conclusion..Well Donaire would have actually had to throw and land a few punches in the second half of the fight in order for it to be toe to toe. However, what is relevant is the obvious OFFICIAL judging which was outright scandalous... Yeah, I didnt think Donaire won the fight... But, to say that 120-108 isnt ****ing bad judging is nothing short of conspiracy... Thats the difference... Philboxing doesnt have an effect on fights while fights in Mexico are clearly suspect as this fight shows without a doubt...
120-108 CLEARLY means no matter what Donaire did short of knocking Solis out, was NOT going to get a decision.... 120-108 is the evidence....Comment

If the fight had been a toss up then we definitely would have had controversy on our hands like in the Chavez Jr fight, but that wasnt the case in this fight so it's a moot point. I think everyone can agree (especially the crowd) that the judges working that night were full of **** and should be investigated, but this particular thread relates the article by philboxing and their journalistic integrity.... or lack thereof. It's getting worse and worse, it almost sounds like one of The Onion's satirical articles.Last edited by Caxcan; 07-14-2008, 02:40 AM.Comment

Well, I think the pre-fight cake ceremony to JCC senior should have been a foreshadowing pre-cursor to what transpired later...If the fight had been a toss up then we definitely would have had controversy on our hands like in the Chavez Jr fight, but that wasnt the case in this fight so it's a moot point. Yes, it is a moot point, but 120-108 is a robbery within itself which is what I've been trying to say... Im not especially annoyed by Donaire losing because I didnt give him a good chance of winning in the first place... However, IF and WHEN another fighter comes to Mexico and challenges a Mexican fighter, and the fight is close, I as well as many others will know who the judges will give a nod to...
BTW, there is no such thing as journalistic integrity anymore... You really think Philboxing is any different than say FOX NETWORK??? I mean come on, Philboxing is not even 1/10000000000 as egregious as some of the big time networks and publications...Comment
