    Wladimir's Klitschko Stock.....

After tonight's performance, does Wlad's stock go up, or down in your book?

    Personally I was impressed...

Tony was tough-tough fighter who matched Wlad in size, speed.. good guard, iron chin and was not afraid to let it go...

It tonights performance Wlad answered the Stamina questions for me...
He fought a high pace 11.5 rounds.. took some monstrous body shots and looked like he was getting winded in the 3rd... but he pressed on and on and actually looked pretty fresh towards the end.

He also showed that he can take a punch on the chin

Most importantly, he did not panic when he was hit.. and was able to hit back.

We all know styles make fight and Thompson was a difficult guy to fight and a legit contender.
As for Wlad, we are looking at a new bread of a World HW Champ! :firstplace:

His stock went up, especially because he won by KO over a durable opponent who had never even been knocked down before.

He is the most boring heavyweight titlist I can ever remember. I can't imagine non-boxing fans sticking around for the KO.

my main issue is this abandoning his great jab for this pawing/measuring/stuff! he would have been done in 6 if he worked the jab. i know, a tricky/southpaw, but he could have used it way more.

When a fight is exciting, the KO is icing on the cake.

When Wlad fights, you are begging for this ****ing cake to get finished with the damn KO. Lol...

I have never seen two dudes paw the jab more than I did in that fight. I thought I was watching the Discovery Channel.

Man I wish I was smoking what you guys are smoking on. He fought a nobody, the HW division is a joke, lets be honest here.

Wlad is the most boring the game today, he paws with his jab and is about as stiff a fighter as there is in the game today.

He better thank God that he is fighting in todays era because in any other decade he gets KO'd.

I think Wlad will struggle against hayes speed and power. At the beginning Wlad looked ordinary and thomsons punches didnt have much snap in them and he was still backing wlad back. To be honest there was nothing impressive about Wlad or thomson both looked sloppy at times i cant believe it was a championship fight. Heavyweights are just plain crap.'

I just don't like watching Wladimir fight...I just finished watching him beat Thompson, he's so plodding and boring to me I just can't stand it. Mostly I feel he is bad for boxing. I am being completely honest when I say that I was sleepy by round 7. The way he fell all over Thompson, slumped and tossed him into the ropes, just so uncoordinated it was embarrassing. The way he answered questions at the end was the best part of the fight.

Wlad seems like a great guy, he has a good personality, I don't know, I just feel like he should be behind a desk somewhere and not in the ring.

His stock hasn't changed with me, but it has gone up of course in all other aspects.
