He's not a fluid, inventive boxer. He does what he does well, it's a pawing jab lining up a straight right to the head. Perhaps it's too late in his career to work on a more creative style. He's effective.

Wlad has one of the best jabs the HW division has ever seen. What he was doing tonight was not a pawing jab, he was neutralizing Thompson's jab, just in a different way than he did Ibragimov's. Wlad has just fought two awkward southpaws in a row, and he got by them just fine. He'll look much more impressive against the next conventional fighter he faces.
