Why the hell am I the only person who thought the fight didn't suck?

I mean both guys stuck their necks out at points.

i gave thompson 4 rounds

i made a mistake i gave him 3 rounds, rounds1,4 and 5

I gave Tony 2 rounds, the 1st and one other early one (dont remember which.) But when you pitter pat a guy who bombs the **** out of you, its hard to win the round. Tony was landing "Stay away from me!" punches while Wlad was landing bombs.

i didnt keep an actual scorecard (because i figured whats the point wlad will stop him)...

but tony was doing real well early on.

I only got to see the first six rounds, but I thought he was doing well enough through those six rounds to win at least 2 of the rounds. One of the others was close (round 4 or 5 maybe).

He was going to the body pretty well. He just didn't have the hand speed to land anything significant upstairs, outside of maybe 1 straight left.

His body punches didnt look soft to me. He won three rounds on my card.

That's what did it for me as well. The rounds he won weren't dominating... but it was generally Wlad not landing too many precise shots while Thompson held his own and consistently landed to the body.

People give body work no love unless it results in a KO... the it's "OMG WOT A BODEE SHOTZ!!!!!!!!111one"

I wonder if Wlad would get even less respect if his first name was "Waldo" as opposed to Wladimir. Waldo Klitschko.

I find it funny because IWatchBoxing used to constantly make the typo "Wald" instead of "Wlad" whenever he posted about Wladimir Klitschko.
