I'm excited about the Aug. 2 Darchinyan fight, but I know there isd only one fight to be made in that divison, Mijar. vs Montiel. Just wondering for opinons if Darchinyan wins and holds a belt, does he even have a slight chance against the top guys. I can only see his power saving him.

His power is good but we need to see how well he carries it at Superflyweight. Darchinyan is very wide with his shots. Mijares and Montiel are probably too technically sound for him. They are also just as big or bigger than Darchinyan who was bigger than most of the flyweights he faced.

Technically sound is very true, I just dont know if they faced someone with his power. Now that might not matter because I think they're both really faster than Vic. I just love watching Vic, its like a street fight and every fight someone is going down

As mentioned above, I think we have to wait and see how his power has carried up with him, he hurt Gorrez a few times but wasn't able to finish and he's technically very flawed, punches wide, chin in the air etc.

Also remember that Nonito was a Superflyweight who came down to flyweight. He was able to take the shots that Darchinyan did land very well. How will other natural SFW's take his power? Also Montiel is probably might have more power than Darchinyan at SFW and Mijares was able to take it.

i dont think darchinyan can compete against mijares or montiel
but vic could make a superfight against arce who is residing in that division

Nonito was taking the shots but his face was swallon alrdy. From watching Vic fights he doesn't have one punch power. He just wears you down, power ppunch after power punch and around the 9 to 12 round BOOM theyt go down. All he has to do, I think is not get rocked, becuz his chin is suspect, and keep on coming forward
