!!!???**De La Hoya vs Gatti question?!?!?!?!?**

I understand completely that, well gatti basically got his ass whooped in the fight. but do u think he stumbled De La Hoya in the second round with that short right uppercut? Or did De La Hoya just lose his footing for a second. Gatti was trying to go after him afterwards but the ref stepped in the way. what do u think? Either way, why did the ref step in the way? If it was a slip, stumble, or a punch, the ref should of had no say to interfere.

No! He ate it up. A miss step, but not stumble, now in the second round yes. I do think the refs have alway given DLH some favoritism. I think he has been given some gifts as well, Quartey, Whittaker, Sturm, etc. Gatti out of shape and ill prepared did hurt(sting) DLH. If Gatti was better prepared he probably wouldn't have looked as bad but he wouldn't have won.

And Gatti improved a hell of a lot with Buddy Mc Girt after that fight. I think Gatti schooled by Buddy and a decent game plan would have made for a more competitive fight. But I still believe DLH would have beaten Gatti no matter how well Gatti prepared, the size factor for one DLH seemed so much bigger than Gatt and DLH's natural ability and accurate punches would have lead to a Gatti loss and any period in time. But I do believe Gatti could have done better with different circumstances.
