Why I personally like Sam Peter

Comes from one of the poorest towns in Africa, So i respect that a lot... He's not very technical (LOL) but, I believe hes one of the most devastating punchers... and Im not saying he punches harder than Wlad... but when he throws one of those big over hand rights full force, I find myself holding my breath... because if that does hit you.... oh man lol... He does rabbit punch, he needs to work on that... I think hes come REALLY far since Toney I.... hes definitely improving and looking more in shape...

I SERIOUSLY thought he showed up to Mccline drunk.... somebody find the interview of him right before the fight... hes giggling like a little girl, he cant even keep a straight face ...

But yeah anyways... I know a lot of posters don't like him.. because hes not very technical... at all... but he still gives me the thrill of, one solid punch landed.. and that could be it.

Yeah, bad move for Roy..... bad move.

The Roy that beat Ruiz, could beat Peter.... but not this Roy.

He's getting better and better technically but is still has a lot of flaws, if he could improve his punch technique I think he'd be an even harder puncher.

If he could slim down to acomfortable 230-245.. he'd be at his best. His punches could be a bit shorter, too. It would cut the rabbit punching in half, and would also make him more powerful.

I would have no trouble liking Sam Peter if he would quit rabbit punching. Big, strong brute who bulls his way through for the most part, good power and decent chin. But rabbit punching isn't cool. And Ibeabuchi would've ate this guy up.

I thin ki nall honesty, and especially with James Toney, his height makes his opponents bend down when he punches... and since its an over hand right, thats just where the punch lands... When he hits a guy and his head doesnt move it lands on his face, when the guy bends down he ends up clippin behind the ear... James Toney was constantly bending down.

With that said... he still does it too much.

THat and his utter Willingness to want to fight the absolute best. Thats a HUGE problem some of these fighters have... and he doesnt have that problem.

toney i understand, it's just his style

but klitschko is 6'6, and sam still clipped him twice behind the head in their fight. only one KD was legit

I think Peter would be fine if he came in prepared and had the decipline part. When he fought Toney the second time, he looked fast, he was actually setting up his power punches, showed counter punching ability and he actually looked slick. No doubt that he has potential, but will he be properly motivated?

I also don't like the way he took care of things with Maskaev. He should have systematically broken him down and stopped him mid rounds. Instead he gassed out, looked horribly sloppy and even got rocked.
