Let's just hope ESPN gives the Cotto-Margo fight front page news as it is more deserving than Heavyweight fight since Lewis-tyson. Just imagine how much Boxing would take off in terms of popularity if we could find just 1 big power punching Heavy.

I disagree. Summer is not the dead zone, America's past time is approaching the All-Star break, NASCAR is dominating the south, there's MMA if you're into that, the Summer Olympics are less than a month away. I look at golf and tennis as more weekend sports. But still, I'm not saying that ESPN ran that on their front page because they like the Klitoris, but because America is infatuated with heavyweights. I mean Mayweather's retirement didn't even make the front page, but the Klitoris has an upcoming fight with a bum and all of the sudden boxing appears on the front? It's gotta be the heavyweights.

Mayweathers retirement did make the front page. Infact, every single one of mayweathers fights thats been PPV has been on there front page. For most part, big fights make the first page, but even moreso in the summer. I check and read espn.com everyday. Usually during a big PPV, even with pacman/diaz, the breaking news box in the top right corner will show the results.

            Just trust me.

ESPN.com is my homepage, so trust me that I understand. Also, by front page, I mean that as in the dead center of the page...the main feature article. I know Mayweather's press clippings get posted on the side as "Headlines", but I've never seen Mayweather featured on the main article. The Klitoris gets featured when he fights Tony Thompson. Mad irony.

Mayweather also retired during the NBA finals if im not mistaken though, i dont remember anythign being on the front page except stuff related to that. either way it dont matter that much to me or you, i disagree, its dead right now, with only the MLB happening, its always boring during the summer.

Wlad is a big, talented power punching heavyweight...He has KO'd 44 opponents in his 50 wins.

I know Thompson`s gonna get his ass handed to him, but let`s at least try to make boxing exciting again. No one`s gonna watch if it`s a gigantic mismatch. Not ESPN`s fault for trying to get people excited.

Make sure to remind him of that before he walks to the ring for the Thompson fight.
