You don’t always get what you want in life and things don’t always come in perfect scenarios or containers. This is the case for Steve “Two Pound” Forbes as he is seemingly set to challenge the newly crowned WBC welterweight champion, Andre Berto for his championship belt this October.
Although not being natural welterweight by any way, shape, or form, Forbes will take on the dangerous young champion in order to pave the way for other major fights in 2009. In speaking with the Portland-born fighter, the plan is to make a huge statement in defeating Berto and eventually dropping down in weight in order to challenge the current pound-for-pound king in Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao.
