Soto is better than Valero, but he's not a Lightweight.

It's a good fight. As far as excitement goes, this could be as good as the Morales and Marquez fights were.

both soto and valero are at 130. pacman has only one fight at 135. 5 pounds aint ****!

soto is a pretty big guy, 135 wouldn't be a problem

Why doesnt Pacquiao move up to 140 and take a tune-up for Hatton instead?

This fight is pretty pointless, Soto is a super featherweight and David Diaz was one of the worst lightweights out there. It does nothing to prove that Pacquiao can dominate at 135 let alone beat Hatton at 140.

Pac is just moving up to fight Hatton for the money. After that fight he will either take a rematch with Hatton if he wins or move back down to LW.
He has no intention to fight at 140 other than a Hatton fight...

I know its a money fight but wouldnt it be better to build it? What does beating a blown up super featherweight at 135 do to build a fight against Hatton? If he went up, took on someone at 140 - there would be no shortage of people queing up to fight him - and knocked out somone in the top 10, the Hatton fight would be even bigger than it already is.

Moving up now and fighting the other top fighters in LW will be too risky. If Pac loses on November then he can say goodbye to a money fight with Hatton. Better get KO by Hatton for say 10 Million than other 140 fighters for 3M...

Soto or Valero is perfect for Pac. They are live opponents whom Pac can handle. Its a safer fight compared to moving up and fighting with the likes of Holt or Witter.
