As an amateur he won two ABA middleweight titles in 1999 and 2001 and a bronze medal at the 2001 World Amateur Boxing Championships before turning pro, he has a good pedigree and can box he just chooses to use his power and given the level of opposition so far who can blame him,
it is reported that Berrio and Williams refused to fight Froch when Inkin pulled out (twice) and Rybacki was the only man who would face him, fair play to the lad, undefeated at the time but no test at all for Carl Froch.
IMO the better the opposition the better Froch will box and he still carries that power, it makes him a very dangerous opponent and it looks like many in his weight class already see that!

Why do you think after like 40 odd fights Hatton and Calzaghe go noticed, No American would give them a chance before then because they were not a "name".

And in the next 3 years when Froch is world champion....like what happened to Calzaghe..you'll get the fat yanks saying he only faught bums. Where infact it was due to the fact nobody would give him a fight.

Are you serious? Bradley ducked witter just Jones ducked Woods and Mayweather ducked Hatton ooooo wait no they didn't Taylor has fought much better compitetion than Froch in Winky,Hop and Pavlik who were all tested on the elite far more than Froch.I do not like what Dibella is doing as Froch deserves a shot but to say Taylor is ducking him is absurd.He will fight anyone.

Froch is likely to pick up the WBC belt fighting Pascal. He should be able to pick up some nice change after that. The SMW's are quite deep in talent so regardless of unification fights coming off soon, I think we can look forward to some good fights.
