If Vitali is 3/4 of what he was or even half, Sam Peter will once again be on the outside looking in.
Wladimir Klitschko: Mind Over What Matters?

Haven't these Klitschko-bashing articles become old hat yet? If Sam Peter was the unified champion right now, would this article have stated that it's just a political and marketing tool and that a unified champion is not longer legitament? No, the media would be singing the praises of the "murderous punching Sam Peter who brought back a true unified champion to the heavyweights". If Peter had climbed off the canvas three times to beat Wlad in their fight, the song lyrics would have been about "the brave Peter whose great heart and will to be champion saw him rise from the floor to overcome phenomenal adversity, the nature of a true champion was seen in the ring that night". I have no idea why but the boxing media (American media in particular) refuse to give Wladimir the credit he has earned.
Last year, all we ever heard from the media was whining about how there was no unified champion in heavyweight boxing. On and on about not having a unified champion. Now we have as close to a unified champion as we will get, and because it is Klitschko, the media took a 180 degree turn and now claims that a unified champion is not legitimate and is just a marketing tool. Yeah right. That this author goes out of his way to use the word 'Caucasian' in the article for no reason speaks volumes. The ******* boxing media would be singing the praises of the great unified champion of Sam Peter right now, if the situation was reversed.Last edited by snake; 07-11-2008, 01:52 PM.Comment

"and six months later with Lewis bowing out, WBC heavyweight champion"
That right there is WHY Lewis IMO was a POS... I like Klitschko and Lewis did him wrong with bowing or should I say BITCHING out like he did AFTER saying he would give him a rematch.....
I like both Klitschko brothers, but I think for once i'm going to pick the guy that's American/underdog. I don't think he's going to win. But I cant remember the last American that was a REAL champ. So i'm pulling for our own. But I still have Klitschko winning... just to add I'm not one to pick a fighter based on nationality, just this once because the dudes an American and that's rare this division...
I see Klitschko winning by KO or stoppage...Comment
