Well I have never really liked Juan that much even before his first L. I made a thread dogging him when I first joined and everyone jumped on me and gave me bad karma for it. I just never could get into Juan, yes his style is somewhat exciting but he lacks power so to me it just is boring cause you know you wont get that amazing knockout. He beats fighters down till there isnt anything left. I also didnt like that at first he was just going to get a title shot right away, thought he should earn his way back to get a shot imo.Comment

I never liked Juan that much either. I don't like his gut (which Campbell did like cause he dug into it like whoa). I don't like his lack of power or his little yelps every time he throws a powder puff punch. I also was pieved by the glove issue, especially when the gloves he was afraid of were mexican gloves and he loves saying he's a true mexican warrior. true mexican warrior's don't care what gloves their opponent's use. He has impressive stamina and broke down a couple decent fighters, but I'm not really impressed with him as an elite fighter, though he is very good. some fighters you like, some you don't. you are all welcome to like and dislike whomever you please in my book and I am too as far as I'm concerned.
If he would have gotten a shot at Casamayor instead of Campbell after Campbell had JUST beat him down, that would have been an injustice and a travesty for boxing. its good that him and katsidis will now meet do duke it out for who belongs in the elite lightweight discussion so props to GBP for doing it right in the end....Comment

I agree. A lot of ppl on this board also were saying how Paul didnt even deserve a rematch because the same thing would happen again. Ppl have offnights. Marg was a bit off against Williams, learned from it and you'll never see him start slow anymore. Katsidis, abandoned the body attack on Casa, paid for it, and hopefully will learn from it.
Though I got Katsidis winning by TKO late.Comment

If Katsidis wasn't the house fighter the fight would have been stopped. Which would have been a terrible injustice considering he was whipping Amonsot's behind.
I'm just happy Amonsot is alive and well.
