i totally agree, to force the defense so quickly when there is a stipulated rematch clause that would not have been a secret is pretty outrageous tbh.

Martinez has been waiting since last April. Forrest was ordered to fight Martinez but then received special permission from the WBC to fight Mora with the agreement that the winner would face Martinez next. Like the letter said, Mora took over Forrest's obligation to Martinez.

The WBC, the most prestigious Boxing Body in Boxing

is making an ass of themselves. Knowing that there was a rematch clause should have prevented Mora from facing Martinez until after the rematch. No wonder people get turned off by boxing(because of the b.s. politics)!!! I dont even like the Latin Fake but gave him his props for what he did. Mora should face Forrest in a rematch without being stripped and the winner fights the mandatory Martinez within 90 days baring any injury....thats what SHOULD happen, but mr FOOLIMAIN is acting like a ******.

Another thing, the whole Soto-Lorenzo ordeal is another black eye on the sport. To have Lorenzo as a winner(eventhough he got his ass whooped from pillar to post but won by DQ) and not be given the belt is b.s. Lorenzo was wack, and Cortez is blind and old, but the fact of the matter is that Lorenzo should be given the belt, then immediately face Soto in a rematch....just as Jones and Griffin did back then...........pisses me off that a sport that i love so much is relegated to a bunch of b.s. politics when all is said and done.

Then if that is the case, Sergio Martinez would be getting wronged by not being afforded the title shot he earned fair and square.

If the promoters are really interested in making the rematch, they should offer Martinez a handsome step-aside fee like is customary.

Mora is not going to have that belt for long so he should get the big fights now so he could have some money saved up. He should be Oscar's last fight IMO. I see nothing special in him. It wasn't what he did to Forrest, it was what Forrest ddin't do to him.

Alphabet boys are full of ****, but Mora didn't deserve the title shot to begin with. He'd been fighting as a middleweight and Forrest gave him the shot for the big money. Martinez deserved the shot Mora got. Seems like the Alphabets should just let Mora pay Martinez off to step aside for the Forrest rematch with a signed deal saying Martinez gets to fight whomever wins the rematch
