If joe wanted to PROVE anything and BE ANYTHING AT ALL he could of.... he was to afraid to risk his protected career... and thats understandable, he knew he would have been beat silly billy.... lol.... get over it and relax.... there fighting now....

1. "At the time, when I was on top of the world, why would I go to another guy's place?" asked Jones, who won his last fight against Felix Trinidad in January.
"I'm asking for a bad decision if I do that. That would have been ****** on my part. If I'm the best, come and beat me at home. I was willing and ready, but it never happened." SLAP THAT.
2. How old are you? You said Jones got an immediate shot at Toney before moving up. You were proven wrong when I pointed out that, save for one defense, Jones had already fought at SMW multiple times. So umm...what were you saying?
3. Yeah, I suppose Dariusz told you he would fight in America too? Like Joe did? LMAO.
Woods was a British fighter - worked his way to the mandatory spot and then was willing to come to the US. What did he get? A shot.
2. I said Jones got an immediate shot at Toney when he dropped his Middleweight belt. Calzaghe had no such guarantee.
3. So no one wanted to come to America. Thats why Jones never fought Benn, Eubank, Collins, Calzaghe, Dariusz. They were all afraid to come to America. Nothing to do with Roy. Of course.
Worked his way into a mando spot by beating who? By beating them where? No one and not in America. So whats the difference?
I'll tell you - Woods was low risk, high reward. Simple as.Comment

1. Roy didnt have to fight in anyone's place. He could've offered to fight Calzaghe in America. The fact that Calzaghe has fought in many different places immediately disproves the "stay at home" argument.

2. Jones moved up and fought Toney. He negotiated, took lesser pay and did what he had to. Just like in the Griffin rematch, where he agreed to take lesser pay. Got it?
3. Are we talking about Jones-Calzaghe or America vs. Europe?
First you say Roy avoided Calzaghe.
Then you say he wasn't keen on the fight.
First you say Joe wanted to fight in the US
Then you say Roy should've offered him a fight in the US
First you say why did Clinton Woods deserve a shot?
When I point out that he was the mandatory and also willing to come here, you bring up Benn, Eubank, and any other Euro fighter you can think of.

Bottom line, if you think Jones ducked, avoided some unknown fighter from a little country overseas when no one cared about him, you probably wear Calzaghe drawers to bed.
I don't understand why Calzaghe's fans insist on making their hero greater than he was. What do you want?
He's 1 or 1a on the p4p charts
He's a first ballot hall of famer
Shouldn't you be happy?
Why do we have to hear BS like, everyone ducked him in their primes; he woulda beat a heavyweight; yada yada...

1. Why would the champ go around offering when he has a million people trying to fight him? What are you, dense? If Calzaghe wanted the fight why didn't he offer to fight him in the US?

Respect Joe for sticking to his word on this being his last fight, shame so many people are so cynical, but scenario's like Floyd have done that. I think Calzaghe's settled for a rough deal with Roy. A) it's in the US when even Roy said he was willing to fight in Wales. B) there's some kind of rematch clause which Roy said he wanted ages ago. The clause must be if Roy loses, because if he wins he plans of ****ing of to HW. So then in whatever scenario it is, SD or whatever, we might have the whole pallava again, when if Joe fights agains I agree then, it should be vs Pavlik, Dawson or Tarver at least. Roy's some bargainer.Comment

2. Your point being? Are you suggesting that Calzaghe wouldnt have took the lesser end of the deal? Come on....
3. My point is that Clinton Woods was a British fighter with a pretty appauling record who'd never fought in America but he got a shot at Jones no problem.
But Eubank, Benn, Collins and Calzaghe were British fighters who were Champions, who had beaten some of the best in their divisions, some of whom had already fought in America and they STILL didnt get a shot at Jones.
It just makes no sense.Comment
