Johnathon Banks to fight for IBO title

Johnathon Banks will be fighting for the IBO cruiserweight title against Vincenzo Rossitto. This should be interesting Banks has been fighting tomato can opponents recently so this is at least a bit of a step up. Rossitto has been in with a lot of top cruiserweights from Europe including David Haye, Giacobbe Fragomeni, Alexander Gurov and Krzysztof Wlodarczyk. It will be interesting to see how Banks does although HBO will not be showing it. I think the German broadcasters are showing it so it will be available on the internet for anyone that’s interested.

Yeah i dont understand why HBO are not showing it as Banks could be a good prospect.

This is a much better test for Banks, should prove to be a hard night and potentially answer a few questions. Hopefully by the end of the fight we should be able to see more clearly whether Banks has a future at the top.

Rossitto is not as good an opponent as you say. He lost to Fragomeni, who's not that good either. There are a lot of talented cruiserweights in Europe - Kraj, Alexeev, Tokarev, Huck, Frenkel, etc. - but Rossitto is not one of them.

Banks will have no problem winning this one.

Rossitto is not that good but he is better than Banks recent crap opponents and Fragomeni is a fairly good fighter from what i have seen of him.

But yes, I suppose Rossitto is better than the guy Banks fought on the Wlad vs. Sultan undercard.

Fragomeni is solid at european title level but not really a world class fighter.
