I'm so happy this fight has eventuated but I am also worried that if Katsidis loses that will be the end of his championship fight run, at least for a while. I really think they could have gone back to the drawing board and worked on some new basic defense and then come back with some good contender fights before jumping in with Diaz. Even then it would be a hard fight. Diaz is one tough SOB and can also box well. He has great handspeed and I could see Katsidis having some trouble of he fights like he did against Casa.
I don't know. While it's going to be one of the best fights of the year, if not the best and I can't wait for it, I also wish that they could have taken a different route or taken a bit more time with a few more fights to prepare for Diaz. Though I guess the one thing that is good is that even if he loses, with the showing he puts on, especially in a fight with Diaz, no doubt he will be offered big money to keep coming back for big fights as he is so exciting.
Man, I cannot wait for this. I just really hope Katsidis has learned his lesson not to go running in with his chin out and hands down, swinging wildly. I also hope that his ****ing brain dead cornerman has thought about the terrible job he did in the corner and can get his act together. Katsidis had the Casa fight won but with the terrible advice from the corner screwed it all up. I have never been so pissed at a corner. I wish he got a new trainer.
Anyway, this will be one of the biggest fights this year and probably the best!
